  • I do like the covering on these weights but. . . . . if you use them they will work!

  • I recently bought a pair of these 8-pound dumbbells for my wife and she’s very happy with them. The neoprene covering ensures they are quiet, gentle on nearby furniture, attractive, and easy to hang onto. We already have a variety of “manly” cast iron weights, including a 90-pound (each) set of Powerblock dumbbells. However, she typically found these too heavy, intimidating, in the wrong part of the house (my gym), or generally inconvenient to use. The Valeos are the perfect free weight solution for light exercises anywhere in the home.

  • The items were as advertised. However, either I didn’t read carefully or it wasn’t clearly stated, but I ordered (2), thinking I would get 2 handweights. Instead I got two pairs of handweights, and had to return one pair.

  • These are very nice little weights perfect for men or women searching for a convenient size for those shoulder exercises that require lighter amounts. Grip is thick with a good texture – easy to handle but not impossible to clean. It is not a shiny hard surface like some that tend to slip or get sticky neither is it a mushy texture like others that tend to get totally ‘yuck’ as they absorb sweat. The head section is not round so they do not role. Smart set for a very good price!

  • If you’re looking for simple hand weights that don’t slip in your hands (or on slippery floor surfaces) from sweat–then the Valeo is perfect. They have a good diameter for any hand size, thus allowing a great grip. I would have given them 5 stars if they were a little smaller.
